Firstly, I apologise if this is not the correct area for this post, but...
I find the ES site and (especially) the community forums to be painfully slow; almost unusably slow at times.
Does anyone else find the site slooooow?
Thanks for the prompt reply Mike.
Lads, this site seems to be getting slower by the day. I fear that if matters do not improve you will frighten off potential customers.
The more customers you secure the better for ES and hence all of us existing customers. Bite the bullet and get a dedicated server. Personally I can recommend PowerDNN. Inexpensive and moving to them saved my bacon.

Possibly because there aren't too many of us on here asp is unloading all the time.

Great news Mike.
I don't know if you've considered it (although I'm sure you probably have), but HTTP compression offers some serious performance gains. I employ HTTP compression on my sites and the performance benefits were immediate and significant. It also saves me a bundle in bandwidth costs each month, as many pages compress to ~10% of their original sizes.
That is a pain. It seems a shame to have to spend a larger portion of your profits on (dedicated) hosting. I've used a few reasonably cheap US based hosts, and I never had any problems with shared hosting (and I've hosted popular forums in the past). JodoHost are very good, and their customer support is excellent. I'm sure you'd find their shared service is more than capable. I only left them because I wanted to use UK based hosting and I needed SQL Server 2K5 (they didn't offer it at the time).
Still... The forums are definitely quicker than before (most of the time).
Was painfully slow earlier today (Saturday) but it's zipping along now.
Whatever changes you have made have worked. This site may as well be on my desktop it is responding so well today.
