EntitySpaces Templates for ASP.NET suggests to use MyGeneration project files. Even when using project to go through all the tabs for each table is time consuming.

Does anyone tried to create generation template to generate MyGeneration project file to create ASP.NET templates for specified  tables? 
I understand that the recorded templates will require customization, but it will save time on initial creation.

You are right, such templates are very time consuming, that is why we have kept EntitySpaces (the architecture itself) simple a generated all at once with a single template run. I did use MyGeneration project files our demo and during the development of those templates, otherwise, as you could imagine it would have taken forever to generate them each time. I'm really not sure what you are asking though, are you suggestion hand editing the project for every table, that would be pretty difficult I would imagine.

When we do ES2008, we will be a pure ASP.NET code generator, the UI will be much easier and recording and playing back will be very easy.

I think the question is has anyone created a MyGeneration Template that will allow you to select a group of tables (or views) and it will, from there, actually create the MyGeneration project file for you (which I assume is possible as I assume the project file is a text file that is constructed in a repeatable fashion) - does that make sense?

This is kind of a confusing topic I agree. The problem is the ASPX templates require you do everything differently for each table, with tons and tons of choices for each table. David uses a MyGeneration project file to generate our Demo and NUnit tests for instance, and he does all tables at once, that is because there are no individual choices per table. As for trying to do the entire ASPX template suite in a single MyGeneration project there is currently just no way.

However, that will be completely fixed in ES2008. We want to get more into higher level application building and we will need far superior features than MyGeneration currently provides.
