Hi guys,

i'm having troubles generating the Template Suite files under Vista too. I was making a testrun on Vista Home Basic but I get a similar error as described in http://community.entityspaces.net/forums/thread/3432.aspx

Running MyGeneration as administrator did NOT solve the problem for me. As a result I cannot generate the files...

Generating Custom and Master classes for EntitySpaces works without any problems.

Are you using MyGeneration 1.2 or 1.3?

These issues almost invariably turn out to be related to Vista's user restrictions. Have you tried setting the output location to a folder "My Documents", rather than under "Program Files"? I think some have even copied the \Templates folder to "My Documents", and changed the default template location in MyGeneration's Default Settings.

For the record, we are converting the ASP.NET Template Suite over to ES2008 and it will be included in our 1st ES2008 maintenance release.

This issue was with MyGeneration 1.2.

I have to try changing some of the folders you describe David...

 

When will the maintenance release be coming out? (approx.)
