I am using "DotNetNuke ASCX Grids Template" 1.5.0 and there are a few suggestions that will make it easier to use.
General:
It will be good to have keyboard shortcuts for buttons, e.g. Alt-A for &Add.
Details tab/ Edit tab:
Note that currently “Add to title” and “Up/Down” should be done before selection of columns.
It will be good to have checked list-box instead of simple selection with additional buttons “Tick selected”/ ”Un-tick selected”.
It will be good to have a Button “Copy selection from Edit”(in Edit tab “Copy selection from Details”).
Less important, but also may be useful, to have “Copy selection from List” button.
Detail Grids tab:
It will be good to have Multi-selection list of columns.
Details Lookup tab:
It will be good also to have Multi-selection list of columns.
If in Template Instance with saved settings I opened “Record Template Instance” and then clicked “Cancel”, it removes all settings for the instance that were stored previously.
Expected behavior is to leave stored settings unchanged.
Unable to remove from Title the name, that is not a column.
I’ve opened a template instance for one table and decided to change it to another table.
When I was in the Details Table, “Add to Title” section showed the column name from the previous table, and there is no way to delete it.
Show lookup display names in Browse lists
The template supports friendly combo-boxes in Details/Edit views via specifying columns in Details Lookup tab.
However in Browse view the IDs are shown.
To show friendly names corresponding views should be created and specified in Browse tab.
