    Dll Redirect on the Compact Framework

    Hi, I've finally got MyGeneration to create my ES DAL for me. I now have a new problem when running my application.

     I am getting the error "File or assembly 'VistaDB.CF20', Version=3.2.1.43, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken...., or one of its dependencies, was not found". I am using the latest version of VistaDB (version 3.3.1.54).

    I found a post here http://community.entityspaces.net/forums/thread/1441.aspx that looks like it's the solution - but I don't have a config file. How can I redirect the DLL at runtime/in the compact framework.

    Thanks in advance, cant wait to finally get this working!

    Hmmm, so you are using our configless setup? What version of VistaDB are you using by the way? Answer those two questions while we do some research.

    Hi mike, thanks for getting back to me. I am using version 3.3.1.54 of VistaDB. And yes I am using configless setup on the Compact Framework. Specifically I am writing a Windows Mobile 5.0 application.

    Can you not upgrade to VistaDB's build .57, you're on .54 and we're compiled against .57, its been available since April so it's not a new build.

    Is the trial version of VistaDB not up to date then? I am using ES 2007 as 2008 wouldnt let me generate the DAL classes.
